Tchotchke is our take on Grodziskie, an historical beer style hailing from Poland. Grodziskie is a smoked wheat ale, very low in alcohol, pale in color, and moderately bitter, with a fruity ester profile to balance. We brewed this example of the style with Oak-smoked Wheat Malt and Pilsner Malt from our friends at Blue Ox Maltsters, hopped with Czech Kazbek, and fermented with an expressive German Ale strain, before a month of lagering time. The result is a refreshing blend of savory smoke, tart citrus, with a light body and spritely carbonation that makes for a really unique drinking experience.
