Worms – Best Bitter – 4.4% ABV
Time to open a can of Worms!
We brewed Worms with a new base malt from @mainemalthouse called Mapleton Gold, which they’ve produced to emulate Golden Promise. Worms utilizes 100% Mapleton Gold, and is hopped with Styrian Golding and fermented with a traditional English Ale yeast, then conditioned to proper brightness.
Worms is minimally bitter, despite the name of the style.
Fruit-forward citrus and berry, and muted herbaceousness from the Goldings is backed by a lovely rich malt character and a medium-crisp body. Simple and drinkable
