Last year we released an Anniversary iteration of Prime, for which we kept the recipe the same, but introduced a Thiolized version of our house ale yeast.
We were really into the difference in character of that offering, with the only variable changes being the yeast strain and a small mash-hop charge of NZ Cascade.
This year we elected to work with that strain again, and only changed the mash hop – now NZ Nectaron.
The resulting product is very much reminiscent of Prime, but amplified by the thiolated fermentation, and the ample ample, crowd-pleasing nature of Nectaron.
